N Texas +8 at AF

Any opinions? AF has not impressed me so far this season. I think N texas can win this game outright...

AirForce will have their hands full. Yes, NT was beat 2 weeks ago by the top team in the nation, but if the offense is just average the D will carry them to an outright victory.

Here's another reason to like NT. Holding opponents to 2.92 yards per carry. Oklahoma (3.28 per carry) beat them with big play passes and a muffed punt. They were solid against the #1 team in the nation's rush offense.

I think people are getting carried away with NT and the way they moved the ball against Baylor. Baylor is BAylor. They still suck! NT still has to proove to me they have an offence. This is an offence that was one of the worst in NCAA last year and only returns 4 starters from last year. AF will put 8 and 9 in the box and dare NT to pass which they can't.

Yes, NT run D is excellent. But AF option is a different animal. It is not something that NT scout team can come even close to replicating in practice. DeBerry will throw in a few pass play wrinkles and exploit NT secondary for some big plays. AF will bring the heat on special teams. I would not be surprized to see a blocked punt or two.

Also don't be surprized that AF just barely got by NW last week. CAts are one of the most improved teams in the country.
